How far along: 15 weeks
Baby is the size of: a plum (2.5 ounces)
Movement: I can’t say for sure, but I think I feel movement every now and again. Then again it could just be my stomach growling for more food.
I’m feeling: Great! The exhaustion and dizziness has subsided despite my blood pressure being at an all time low the last time I saw the midwife. I’ve even been able to add exercise back in on a daily basis.
Exercise: After having to completely cut exercise out between weeks 10 and 13 due to exhaustion and buying a house I am now back to daily exercise. Chloe and I have been taking sunset walks around the neighborhood each night which is about 1.25 miles. I might see about changing my route to lengthen it and see if I can get a solid 2 miles within the neighborhood. I’ve also added daily push ups and squats. I’m working up to 50 push ups and 200 squats. 🙂
Sleep: I am more thankful for our Sleep Number bed now more than ever considering it is one of the few pieces of furniture I have in our new house. But seriously, sleep has been much better lately. For a while there I was staying up until 1 or 2 in the morning with insomnia despite my exhaustion. Lately though I’ve been early to bed and early to rise which is how I like it.
What I’m reading: I wouldn’t quite say this is what I’m reading, but I recently got a pregnancy journal and went back to fill in prior weeks. It’s a great little journal and asks just the right amount of questions. It’s called From Pea to Pumpkin.
Baby preparations: I worked on our baby registry and it already has a lot of stuff in it. Even though we know we’re having a girl, I’ve still kept a lot of the stuff gender neutral since we want one more child after this little one. I haven’t bought any baby stuff yet save for the one baby book that I bought months before I was even pregnant called Buddha at Bedtime. Most of the preparations I have been doing revolve around the new house and getting it all set up and livable.
I did receive a box of clothes from a friend of mine in California who had a ton of girl things that she was giving away and donating what didn’t get claimed. We found out just in time that baby B is a girl and were able to get some clothing before it all got donated. Andrea picked out some really cute outfits and I can’t wait to use them!
Other exciting things: Over the past few weeks we got to hear the baby’s heartbeat for the first time (11 weeks, see below for the video), we found out baby B is a she (13 weeks), and we moved into our new house (14 weeks)!
