How far along: 27 weeks
Baby is the size of: a rutabaga (1.8 pounds)
Movement: I mostly feel Dita moving around at night as I’m laying down to go to sleep. Most nights I play her the playlist of songs and her daddy reading to her that I created on my phone.
I’m feeling: Excited and nervous. The other day I realized that today marks the start of my third trimester which means that Dita will be here in just three short months!
Exercise: I’m trying to fit in exercise as I can, but it’s pretty tough… there’s been a lot of other fun stuff going on… like my niece Elyse visiting! Elyse and I did manage to get a good hike in today… we were both so worn out from the hike and all the activity over the last few days that we both ended up taking a nap this afternoon.
Sleep: I’m still having some insomnia, but it seems to be getting better.
What I’m reading: I’ve been concentrating on getting my WikiPamela.com site up and running, so mostly it’s been all boring blogging books :).
Other exciting things: I had my baby shower this weekend and it was so much fun seeing friends and catching up. My niece made the cutest owl cupcakes and Dita received a lot of really cute clothes, blankets, and baby gear. I can’t wait for her to get to wear and use everything! Of course, I was having such a good time chatting with everyone that I totally forgot to take photos of everyone! Here are some photos that we did manage to get from the party.
Baby preparations: Cia and Elyse helped me get the wall decal up onto Dita’s wall, and I managed to get all her new clothes washed, organized, and put away. Next I’ll be hanging Dita’s new artwork courtesy of my niece… who also reminded me of how hard it will be for Dita to find things with her name on them. 🙂
