How far along: 29 weeks
Baby is the size of: a beet (2.5 pounds)
Movement: I have started describing Dita’s kicks as similar to those of a boxing kangaroo.
I’m feeling: Excited and nervous. I belong to a Facebook group of women who are all due in January and there are now 2 babies that have already made their appearance! I realize that preterm babies happen and are not the norm, but it still makes me nervous. My goal is to make it to 37+ weeks.
Exercise: I’ve been walking Chloe about 5 days a week for 30 minutes which ends up being about 1.5 miles. I’ve even set a goal to reach 60 miles by December 1st. I might not make it unless I up my walks to 6 or 7 days a week 😉 But we’ll see how close I can get.
Sleep: Oddly enough, I’m still sleeping on my back even though most people recommend side sleeping. But it’s just not comfortable for my back. The midwife says it’s fine though, so I’m going with it!
What I’m reading: Still reading blog books that I’m sure only I find interesting.
Other exciting things: I had the strangest thing happen last night. I woke up in the middle of the night and, after checking the bassinet next to my bed, bolted out of bed towards the living room thinking I had left the baby downstairs… silly me…. Dita isn’t even here yet! lol
Baby preparations: I’m just waiting on my registry to give me that 15% coupon so we can get diapers, a car seat, and bedding etc. I’m also still getting out the thank you notes from the baby shower… my carpal tunnel make hand writing notes a slow process. They’re almost done though!
