How far along: 31 weeks
Baby is the size of: butternut squash (3.5 pounds)
Movement: Dita has a habit of stretching out and doing yoga in the evenings. I can usually see/feel a foot on my right side and the other day Cia was even able to feel Dita’s foot. Check out this video of Dita on a calm day. Usually she kicks the remote to the floor with just one kick!
I’m feeling: Like prep time is running out! Just 61 more days until she is expected to arrive and we still need so many things… important things like a car seat and diapers! I’m pretty sure they don’t let you be a parent without those things.
Exercise: It’s starting to get pretty cold here. Over night lows are in the 20s and daytime highs are in the 40s. Even so I’ve been taking Chloe for walks around the neighborhood. I try to get 1.5-2 miles in each time we go. I’ve definitely had to buy some winter workout gear… namely gloves and ear warmers! Thank goodness it’s still been sunny most days.
Sleep: Still sleeping very well thank goodness! I know once Dita is here that whole sleep thing will become a thing of the past.
What I’m reading: I’m about to pull out all the reading material and books we got from our childbirth class and re-read those along with Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth.
Other exciting things: I met with a really great photographer named Renee. She owns Little Earthling Photography and her work is amazing! We’ve decided that instead of maternity photos we’d prefer birth photos. So Renee will be there to capture all the amazing moments of Dita’s birth that I won’t remember because I’ll be too focused on labor. I’m very excited for this!
Baby preparations: Our baby registry finally gave me that 15% coupon, so I’ll be ordering all the necessities we still don’t have very soon!
