How far along: 23 weeks…. we’re on the downward slope folks!
Baby is the size of: an onion (12.9 ounces)
Movement: Dita is definitely on the move these days. She’s most active in the mornings and then in the evenings about the same time I’m going to bed (this could be the hot chocolate I’m indulging in prior to bed).
I’m feeling: Still feeling great! The tiredness from the first trimester has returned and I’m in the habit of taking 2 hour naps every day again. Plus I can no longer exert myself like I once could… if I try to work too hard my belly tightens up and becomes so uncomfortable that I need to sit down. Needless to say I’ve been slowing down a lot lately.
Exercise: Konrad and I have been keeping up our walks and getting to know the neighborhood better. We really like the area and are so glad we moved here!
Sleep: Sleep is somewhat sporadic these days due to my 2 hour naps.
What I’m reading: I Finished reading Baby Signing and have exhausted my supply of baby books. Now I’m back to reading my usual genre and am currently reading Death by Food Pyramid.
Baby preparations: We took a trip to Ross and bought a couple of outfits and a baby book, but other than that, we’re waiting until after the baby shower to really start shopping. Instead, we’ve been concentrating on filling our freezer with Once a Month Meals (which I’m now an affiliate for!) as well as the finishing touches of our house. Hanging pictures etc… check out our finished dining room:
Other exciting things: Our one year anniversary is coming up next month, and since Konrad will be working we’ve decided to celebrate early. Konrad made reservations are John Howie Steakhouse for this weekend so we can celebrate our anniversary. We’ll also be celebrating becoming parents and buying our first place…. we definitely have a lot to celebrate lately.
Also, I’ve shifted my blogging focus. I wanted to broaden my topics so I’ll be shifting away from strictly fitness to a wider range of topics. Because of this I’ll now be blogging at WikiPamela.com.
